Synopsis
Three years ago, Marine Raine Winters died saving Captain Kane Thorne in the Middle East. His last wish: return to New York, marry my sister Isabella, and protect her forever.
Kane arrives in New York—foul-mouthed, sloppy, hiding twenty-seven shrapnel wounds and twenty-plus black-ops missions. He expects to be a bodyguard for a CEO. Instead, he finds Isabella Winters, young head of Winters Group, fighting for her life. Her revolutionary anti-cancer project, “Golden Apple,” threatens the medical giant Caesar Group. Zachary Caesar wants the data, the company, and Isabella—using forced marriage, bribes, moles, assassins, snipers, and bombs.
But Kane isn’t an ordinary bodyguard. He clears assassins bare-handed, bends titanium clubs, and makes the Iron Fist Gang kneel. As Isabella falls for him, so do FBI agent Erin, former mole Liana, mercenary Raven, and Wall Street queen Vivian. Victor Caesar strikes personally—Kane crushes him, Vivian bans Caesar on Wall Street, and the empire collapses. Zachary kidnaps three women, injects a neural enhancer, and demands Kane’s life. Raven defects. Kane still wins. The Caesars fall. But Isabella, Erin, Liana, Raven, and Vivian won’t let him walk away.
