Synopsis
Former top assassin “Crescent Moon” Elena Sterling retires to live a normal life. On her wedding day, she discovers her fiancé and best friend’s betrayal. Her adoptive brother Lucas drugs her and sells her to a brutal underground death-match arena.
Saved by underworld godfather Dominic Rossi, who has searched for her for 15 years—ever since she saved his life in childhood—Elena signs a six-month fake fiancée contract with him. In return, Dominic helps her take revenge and uncover the truth of the Nightshade assassin camp’s fall.
Cold and guarded at first, Elena gradually falls for Dominic’s silent protection. When their enemy Bianca attacks, Dominic takes a deadly poisoned bolt for her. Forged documents later separate them, misleading Elena into believing his family killed her people.
After exposing the mole and clearing misunderstandings, they learn Elena is the sole survivor of the destroyed Sterling noble family, fallen to a criminal alliance’s plot.
The couple defeats all enemies and regains Elena’s inheritance. Dominic abandons his power, tears up the contract, and gives Elena a real lifelong promise. They leave the violent underworld behind, start a new life abroad, and welcome their child—two broken souls finally finding true, equal love.
