Synopsis
I once weighed 300 pounds, gorging on a whole fried chicken, large pizza, bucket of fries, two liters of soda and a football-sized cake per meal—no store clothes fit me. To meet my online boyfriend Blake, I ran 100 miles daily and survived only on boiled vegetables and water for a year, shedding 80 pounds.
The night before my flight to see him, I scrolled Reddit and spotted his post offering to pass our one-year online relationship to others.
