Synopsis
Sophie Chen, a 34-year-old coin appraiser at a Chicago auction house, discovers her husband Richard sold her mother’s valuable coins, including a $3 million misprinted coin, to fund his mistress. Rather than confront him directly, Sophie forges a counterfeit appraisal report to force Richard to withdraw his auction bid and anonymously repurchases the stolen coins. She gathers evidence of his infidelity and malicious estate transfers, then files for divorce, ensuring he leaves with nothing. Using her mother’s coins, Sophie establishes the Women’s Heritage Museum, supporting women harmed emotionally and financially. Through this initiative, she transforms her trauma into a collective cause, achieving independence and spiritual growth.
