Synopsis
Maid Emily Blake becomes entangled in power struggles within the Marquis’s Estate. She is forced to impersonate Lady Turner to serve Gregory Hawthorne, surviving life-threatening dangers and bitter family grudges. She and Timothy Hawthorne redeem each other and grow fond of one another. Deadly plots lurk everywhere; Lady Turner perishes, and the Chancellor loses all his authority. Though Emily Blake finally escapes suffering and gains her freedom, her heart remains filled with reluctance and longing.
