Synopsis
Caroline grew up inseparable from Greyson and Jace. On her seventeenth birthday, both boys confessed their love. She hesitated and promised to give them an answer after college started.
Yet the arrival of poor student Lily changed everything. Her two childhood friends shifted all their attention to Lily, spoiling her with laptops and phones, and completely ignoring Caroline. They never even noticed when she slipped away.
Without tears or quarrels, Caroline quietly canceled her admission to Columbia and chose Stanford, 2,900 miles away. Those she once thought would stay by her side forever parted at a trivial crossroad. What once seemed ordinary turns into an irreparable regret in hindsight.
