Synopsis
In medieval Europe, Audrey Montfort marries William Eisenberg and helps him gain a lordship, only for him to favor Lucina, a maid who resembles his dead first love. Heartbroken, Audrey liquidates their marital assets and publicly ends the marriage, claiming her unborn child is not William’s—sending him into despair. Five years later, she reunites with Duke Veyron, Grace’s true father; William loses his title, while Lucina is confined to a church asylum.
