Synopsis
Former academic star Tessa Hart has been secretly married for five years. She shows up to a college reunion dinner in a plain white T-shirt and jeans. Vanessa Shaw, another former top student who now drives a Porsche, leads the charge in mocking her for “living off her husband.”Around the table, everyone takes turns bragging about six-figure salaries and luxury cars, treating Tessa as the one obvious loser in the room. Tessa doesn't argue, doesn't explain—she just keeps her head down, working through a plate of shrimp. Then a Maybach pulls up outside, and her husband Adrian Hale walks in. The entire table goes silent. The Hale Media empire Vanessa has fought tooth and nail to rise through belongs to Adrian. Worse still, every strategy and project she has been bragging about was actually Tessa's work. After the truth comes out, Vanessa breaks down in tears and finally wakes up to herself. Tessa returns to her quiet life—living off her husband, walking the cat, and doing what.
