Synopsis
After sacrificing her Moonfire to make Prince Aldric emperor, Saint Seravyn is betrayed, entombed alive, and forced to watch him slaughter 800,000 of her people. Reborn at the royal Rite of Choosing, she refuses to repeat her fatal mistake. Instead of Aldric, she chooses Sorren—the despised, dragonless prince exiled to the borderlands and the only man who tried to save her in her previous life. The court mocks her decision, while arrogant Aldric assumes she will crawl back. But Seravyn’s Moonfire burns away the seal hiding Sorren’s true power, awakening a golden dragon and earning him the Dragon Crown. As Aldric loses both the throne and the woman he took for granted, Seravyn joins Sorren to expose old lies, punish their enemies, and reclaim the future stolen from them.
