Synopsis
At the Blood Pact Ceremony, Elowen's sister Rosalind snatched the Phoenix prince who'd been Elowen's husband in their past life — leaving Elowen with nothing. But Elowen didn't fight it. She remembered what Rosalind didn't: the sacred phoenix fire that burned her ice-blooded body every day, the pregnancies that nearly killed her, and the poisoned mead her sister handed her in the end. So when the ancient Shadow Dragon King, Lucian, pulled her from the wreckage of her clan, Elowen went willingly. While Rosalind suffered through fire rituals, a crumbling marriage, and a scandal that shook every court on the continent, Elowen discovered that the dragon who saved her had been waiting for her far longer than one lifetime.
