Synopsis
Nora Wentworth, a Napa Valley vineyard heiress, is preparing for her engagement party to Ben Carter, a charming investment banker. Everything looks perfect until she receives an anonymous text the night before, attaching a secret prenuptial addendum she never signed. It would let Ben claim she is “emotionally unstable” after marriage and seize her vineyard if she ever files for divorce. Worse, the drafter is Emily Foster, her college roommate and maid of honor of sixteen years.
Nora stays silent, calls her family lawyer, and prepares a termination agreement. At the party she announces a “game”: Ben and Emily must each write three secrets about the other. Then she drops the bomb — she thanks Emily for helping her “test Ben’s loyalty” and reveals the truth piece by piece. Emily is not a therapist but a nurse, and Ben has been plotting for three years using tactics she taught him. Ben signs the agreement on the spot, forfeiting all claims. Afterward, Nora turns her vineyard into a women winemakers incubator, helping a young divorcee drowning in debt.
