Synopsis

Two days before my wedding, a video of me sleeping with a man was posted online, with a price tag of "one box of Durex condoms."
Panicking, I rushed to the private club where my fiancé, Oliver Patterson, was staying. I had to explain that the video was fake before he saw it and misunderstood.
When I arrived at the VIP room, the door was slightly ajar. Inside, one of Oliver's friends was setting up a lie detector.
"Bro, the needle won't move if you tell the truth, but it'll start swinging when you lie."
Oliver raised an eyebrow and attached the sensors to his body.
I was about to push the door open, but my hand slowly fell to my side.
"Oliver, was it you who leaked that scandalous video of your fiancée?"
I smiled to myself. Oliver loved me so much. There was no way he could have done something like that.
"No," he answered curtly.
The next second, the lie detector's needle began swinging wildly from side to side.
A loud buzz seemed to explode inside my head. The smile froze on my face.
"Did you do it to avenge Louise? She ended up in the hospital yesterday after your fiancée slapped her. You must've been heartbroken seeing your precious childhood sweetheart get hurt."
Oliver stretched out his long arm and pulled Louise, his childhood sweetheart, into his embrace.
The corners of his mouth twitched. "No."
Once again, the needle swung violently, taking a long time to settle.
Curled up in his arms, Louise ran her fingers over the firm muscles beneath his white shirt, and muttered gently, "But now your fiancée's intimate videos are going viral all over the internet. Aren't you afraid she'll find out you're behind it?"
Oliver ripped off the sensor, his expression dripping with disdain.
"So what if she finds out? She's always bullying you. This time, she even had the nerve to hit you in broad daylight. If I don't teach her a lesson now, what's going to happen after we're married? She'll think she can get away with anything."
"I have plenty more of that kind of footage of her."
With a few casual taps on his phone, he sent my nude photos and intimate videos flooding into their group chat.
Almost immediately, the room erupted in lewd laughter.
"Damn, your fiancée's body is incredible, Oliver! How about livestreaming your wedding night so we can all watch the show? Hahaha!"
"I'll think about it..." Oliver smirked.
I stood frozen outside the door, every inch of my body was numb. The pain in my chest was unbearable.
So after five years of loving him wholeheartedly and giving him everything I had, I was nothing more than a plaything to him.
Slowly straightening my back, I took out my phone and dialed a number I had buried deep in my contacts for years.
Letting out a deep breath, I spoke. "Does your promise to wait five years for me still stand?"

###Chapter 1 Two days before my wedding, a video of me sleeping with a man was posted online, with a price tag of "one box of Durex condoms." "I'll think about it..." Oliver smirked. "Does your promise to wait five years for me still stand?" ... "Of course. You have only two days left before I give up on you for good." The man's deep voice came through the phone. "Then come get me tomorrow night. I'll marry you," I choked out. There was a brief silence on the other end before he let out a cold chuckle. "Alessia, are you playing games with me?" "If you don't want to come, forget it—" "I'll come." His domineering voice cut me off. "Since you've finally asked me yourself, even if I have to drag you away by force, I'm taking you with me this time." Denver was the man my family had arranged for me to marry. Five years ago, I broke off our engagement to pursue Oliver. Before I left, Denver had promised to wait for me for five years. Hearing his answer, I felt some of the tension in my chest finally eased. After hanging up, I opened the video with trembling fingers and forced myself to look at the man on the screen for the first time. His face was obscured. All I could see was a blurry figure moving behind me, but I still recognized him. It really was Oliver. The video was real. The only thing that had ever been fake was his love for me. I clamped a hand over my mouth as tears streamed down my face. Just then, another curious voice came from inside the VIP room. "Oliver, your fiancée has had six miscarriages in five years. Don't tell me you were behind those, too?" Oliver took a drag of his cigarette, his expression unreadable. "If she hadn't clung to me so desperately back then, Louise wouldn't have been so upset that she left the country." "Didn't she want to have my child more than anything? The more she wants something, the more I want her to experience what it's like to lose it." "That's true. Alessia was ruthless enough to drive Louise away just to marry you. But what if she finds out the truth and leaves you?" Oliver stubbed out his cigarette, a confident smile spreading across his face. "The whole world knows she's a slut now. Who else would want her if she left me?" My whole body shuddered violently. Ever since Louise returned from abroad last year, she'd been spreading nasty rumors about me everywhere. For Oliver's sake, I had swallowed my anger again and again, choosing to endure the humiliation rather than make things difficult for him. But she'd only grown bolder. She even claimed that I had aborted six bastards fathered by different men over the past five years. I couldn't take it anymore. That was why I'd gone to her office building and slapped her across the face. When Oliver caught up with us, Louise was clutching her swollen cheek and sobbing uncontrollably. He had merely smiled and tapped the tip of my nose. "Feel better now? If you keep getting angry, you'll become ugly. Then you won't be a beautiful bride anymore." I'd never imagined that the moment he turned around, he would expose my most humiliating moments to the entire world. All to avenge the single slap I'd given his precious childhood sweetheart. The laughter inside the VIP room continued, every burst cutting into my heart like a knife. My legs nearly gave out beneath me as I fled the place, desperate to escape the suffocating atmosphere. Five years ago, I had fallen in love with Oliver at first sight while traveling. To pursue him, I'd even gone so far as to cut ties with my own parents. Throughout our relationship, whenever we were intimate, he would coax me into going along with his various games and unconventional demands. I had believed those things were his way of expressing his love for me. Even when I felt uncomfortable and resisted deep down, I still tried my best to accommodate him. I never knew he'd been secretly recording the most shameful and vulnerable moments of my life all along. I bit down hard on my lip. If he was willing to destroy my reputation just to avenge Louise, then I'd give them both a gift they would never forget.

Chapter 2

###Chapter 2 Didn't Oliver think Louise was the purest, most innocent woman in the world? Fine. I'd make him see for himself what kind of person his precious little childhood sweetheart really was. [Compile everything you found on Louise into a single file and send it to me. I've transferred the payment to your account.] I sent the message to the private investigation agency. It wasn't long before an email arrived containing a compressed file that was over a hundred gigabytes in size. After wiping away my tears, I walked out of the club. The moment I stepped onto the street, countless stares and pointing fingers pierced me like needles. "Isn't that the slut who's trending online?" "Unbelievable. She's about to get married, and she's already cheating on her future husband. You should've seen those positions in the video. She sure knows how to put on a show." Then, to make matters worse, a greasy-looking middle-aged man suddenly grabbed me, licking his lips lecherously. "Wanna have some fun? How much for one round?" I screamed and wrenched myself free before scrambling into a passing taxi. Shame and terror crashed over me like a tidal wave. I curled up in the seat, hugging my knees as my entire body trembled. Suddenly my phone rang. The caller ID showed my mother's name. I sniffled and answered the call. "Come home, Alessia. We've seen everything online. Your father and I will protect you." Her gentle reassurance shattered the last bit of my composure. I broke down completely, sobbing so violently that I could barely catch my breath. "Mom... you were right. It was all Oliver. He did all of this. He isn't worth loving..." As I tearfully recounted everything that had happened, my father's furious voice came through the phone. "That heartless bastard! Sweetheart, don't worry. Your father will make sure you get justice." When I finally made it home, I stumbled around in a daze, quickly packed my belongings, and headed straight for the bathroom. As I sank into the bathtub, I remembered how Oliver had once held me in his arms amid the rippling water and swore that he would give me a lifetime of happiness. For five whole years, I'd believed every word. I had never imagined that behind all his sweet promises lay nothing but carefully crafted lies. I scrubbed my skin as if I could wash away every trace of him. I didn't stop until my skin was raw, as though I could erase the very fact that he'd ever touched me. When I finally opened the bathroom door, Louise was standing in my bedroom wearing a nearly transparent nightdress. "Alessia, there's a leak at my place, so Oliver said I could stay here for a while. Is that okay?" My gaze fell on the conspicuous curves beneath her nightdress. I couldn't help the cold smile that tugged at my lips. "Alessia has already forgiven you. Go ahead and make yourself at home." Oliver walked in, wrapped his arms around me, and spoke in a soothing voice. "Baby, I saw the videos online. Don't worry. Your husband believes you. No matter what anyone else says, nothing will ever change how much I love you." You love me? If you really loved me, how could you be the one to push me straight into hell?! "I know you're upset, so let me make you feel better tonight, hmm?" Oliver slipped an arm around my waist and tried to carry me to the bed. But looking into those familiar, tender eyes only reminded me of what one of his friends had asked as I'd fled the club. "Can we get an early preview tonight, Oliver? Let us feast our eyes on the show first!" Oliver had frowned in irritation and replied, "You're always making a fuss over nothing." But he hadn't refused. The hypocrisy on his face made my stomach turn. I shoved him away. "Not tonight. I don't want to." Oliver said nothing. He simply left the bedroom with Louise. A short while later, he returned with a glass of milk. "Milk helps you relax. Drink it and get a good night's sleep. By tomorrow morning, you'll have forgotten all about this unpleasant business." I turned my face away, refusing to look at the glass. "I don't want it." After being rejected repeatedly, Oliver's expression began to stiffen. Still, he forced himself to maintain a patient tone. "I'm only doing this for your own good. Come on, be good. Your husband would never hurt you." Before I could protest, he forcibly poured the milk into my mouth. Within moments, my entire body went limp, and I collapsed against his chest. As my consciousness grew hazy, I felt Oliver carry me to the bed. When I opened my eyes again, it was already the following morning. Every inch of my body ached as though I'd been broken apart. I couldn't afford to worry about that now. Staggering out of bed, I hurried toward the cabinet in the corner of the room.

Chapter 3

###Chapter 3 The day before, I had bought a hidden camera and concealed it in the corner of a cabinet as soon as I got home. The moment I played back the footage, humiliation burned through me so intensely that I could barely breathe. My hand trembled uncontrollably as I struggled to hold the camera steady. The recording showed Oliver picking up his phone shortly after I fell asleep. The corners of his mouth curled into a smirk. "Everyone still awake? Here's the livestream you've all been waiting for." Louise pushed open the bedroom door and walked in. "Oliver, maybe we shouldn't do this. You're getting married soon, after all. If your fiancée finds out you've livestreamed something like this, how will she ever be able to show her face in public again?" She pretended to plead with him out of concern, but her eyes betrayed the calculations behind her words. Oliver looked down at me with utter coldness. "If she hadn't humiliated you in front of everyone, you wouldn't have been fired from your job. She dared to hurt you, so now she has to face the consequences." With that, Oliver propped his phone up nearby and started the livestream. While I lay unconscious, he forced me into one degrading position after another. Louise watched from the sidelines at first, but before long, she joined him. Indecent, horrifying images filled the screen. I couldn't bear to watch another second. Rushing into the bathroom, I collapsed over the toilet and vomited until my stomach was empty and my whole body shook. I didn't know how much time passed before I finally wiped the filth from the corners of my mouth and the tears from my cheeks. Then I hurried out and retrieved the memory card. I was just reaching for my phone to call the police when Oliver's voice suddenly rang out from the doorway. "Baby, why are your eyes so red? Are you still worried about that fake video? Don't worry. I'll take care of it." He claimed he would take care of everything, yet two days had passed, and I was still being publicly dragged through the mud on the trending lists. I quickly slipped the memory card beneath my pillow, then turned to stare at him. Clenching my fists, I asked, "You really don't know anything about the video?" "Alessia, what exactly are you implying?" Oliver's expression darkened. In an instant, his face twisted with anger. "Do you have any idea how much trouble your scandal has caused me? And you still have the nerve to give me that attitude?!" He was the one who had orchestrated everything. He was the one who had betrayed me. How dare he blame me for his own sins?! Rage overwhelmed me. I opened my mouth to retort, but suddenly, my chest tightened. Darkness swept across my vision, and I collapsed. "Alessia!" When I regained consciousness, I was lying in a hospital bed. "Congratulations, Mrs. Patterson! You're pregnant. You're already more than two months along!" A young nurse noticed that I was awake and immediately began showering me with congratulations. My fingers tightened around the edge of the blanket, but I felt no joy whatsoever. "Thank you," I replied flatly. All I could think about was how unfortunate this child was. They had come into the world at the wrong time, into a family that was wrong for them in every possible way. Just then, the patient sharing my room and her family began whispering among themselves. "Isn't that Mr. Patterson's fiancée? Who knows which man's bastard she's carrying this time. Disgusting." "Poor Mr. Patterson. Imagine having to deal with such a shameless woman." They deliberately raised their voices, making sure every word reached my ears. There was nowhere for me to hide. Shame crushed me, and my entire body trembled as I wished the floor would open up and swallow me whole. The hospital room door swung open again. Oliver's father strode inside. At first, I thought he'd come to comfort me. Five years ago, he'd been the one to praise me as gentle and virtuous, strongly supporting his son's relationship with me. But the moment he reached my bedside, he slapped me so hard that I was left stunned. "Alessia, you shameless slut! You've dragged the entire Patterson family through the mud!" My whole body stiffened. Clutching my burning cheek, I shouted back, "I haven't done anything! That video was clearly—" "Dad, that's enough." Oliver walked in and pretended to stand between us, putting on a show of defending me. "The video might just be a misunderstanding. Alessia loves me so much. She'd never do something like that." His father glared at me, his face dark with fury. "I only agreed to let you two be together because you were the eldest daughter of the Hansen family! And what have you done for the Patterson family? You've brought us no benefits whatsoever. Instead, you've made us a laughingstock! How are you any different from a prostitute?!" So the man I'd once regarded as a father had never genuinely cared for me. He'd only valued what I could bring to the Patterson family. And Oliver? He'd been standing outside the room the entire time, watching coldly as his father struck me. He'd only stepped in after the slap, and even then, he'd merely pretended to stop him. It felt as though someone were repeatedly pounding my heart with a blunt instrument until the pain turned into a dull, unbearable numbness. "Then let's call off the wedding. I'll step aside and let Louise have you. You two can finally be together." I lifted my head and stared coldly at Oliver. "Don't say things you don't mean just because you're upset. I've told you before, I only see Louise as a younger sister." Oliver didn't take my words seriously at all. After offering a few dismissive remarks, he escorted his father out of the room. I watched him leave, then reached for the phone he'd left on the table. I entered Louise's birthday as the password. The screen quickly unlocked. To my surprise, the phone had a dual system, and a hidden interface opened up. The first thing that appeared was a provocative photo of Oliver and Louise kissing passionately on the beach, both dressed in swimsuits. Beneath it was a short caption: [A keepsake from your eighteenth birthday. My darling big puppy.] So they'd been involved with each other five years ago! I bit down so hard on my lower lip that it hurt. Five years... I'd spent five years loving him, yet I'd never realized how effortlessly he could lie to my face. With trembling fingers, I opened their messaging app. The very first messages I saw made my heart twist violently, as though an enormous hand had clenched it in a merciless grip. The phone nearly slipped from my fingers.

Chapter 4

###Chapter 4 The pinned conversation was a group chat named Livestream Group. [Oliver, after the wedding tomorrow, I want to see something even more exciting. Hahaha.] [Exactly! With Alessia's figure, I'd gladly pay any amount just to get a look.] Their filthy, depraved comments filled me with so much hatred that it felt as though every organ in my body was twisting with rage. Then another message popped up. Louise had sent several pictures. I took a closer look. They were screenshots from last night. She followed them with a message to the group. [I heard Alessia is pregnant with her seventh child. I'm throwing a party at the clubhouse tonight. Come celebrate with me, everyone!] What could she possibly have planned that was well-intentioned? I didn't even need to think about it. After taking photos of the messages with my own phone, I received a call from Dad. "Sweetheart, Patterson Group's biggest supplier will be terminating its partnership with them soon. The partners involved in their core projects will also be withdrawing one after another." "Anyone who dares lay a finger on you, I'll make sure they lose everything!" I clenched my teeth and replied, "Okay, Dad. It's about time Patterson Group went bankrupt." After ending the call, I heard footsteps approaching from outside. Oliver came over and wrapped his arms around me, resting his chin on top of my head. "Baby, don't take what my dad said to heart." "You've finally managed to get pregnant. This time, you need to take good care of yourself and make sure you give birth to a healthy, chubby little baby." As he spoke, he casually picked up his phone and glanced at it. "Louise prepared a party to celebrate your pregnancy. See? She's so thoughtful." A chill ran through my entire body. I shoved him away and intoned coldly, "I'm not feeling well. You can go without me." Oliver's expression darkened instantly, and his tone turned commanding. "So many of my friends will be there tonight. If you don't show up, where does that leave me? Alessia, can't you think about me a little more, the way Louise does?" I stared at him, too stunned to even speak. Suddenly, the past five years of my life seemed like one enormous joke. In what way had I ever failed to consider his needs? Forget all the other things I have done. Whenever he worked overtime until midnight and craved a spicy food, I would drive out to deliver it to him even when I had a fever. When he struggled to secure a business deal, I spent three months running around tirelessly to help him, pushing myself so hard that I eventually collapsed in the street. And that was nothing compared to what happened a year ago, when his enemies came after him for revenge. I had thrown myself in front of him to take a knife wound, nearly losing my life in the process. Hadn't I done enough for him? Yet I no longer even had the desire to argue. Oliver's gaze grew even sharper. "Whatever the case, Louise went to all this trouble out of kindness. You're going whether you like it or not!" With that, he dragged me out of bed and hauled me straight to his car. The moment we arrived at the VIP private room at the Patterson Group clubhouse, Louise greeted me with a bright smile. "Alessia, you made it! I've prepared a special surprise for you tonight. You're going to love it, so make sure you enjoy yourself!" But when Oliver wasn't looking, the smile vanished from her face. The look she gave me was malicious, her eyes were colder and more venomous than a snake's. Seven or eight pairs of eyes inside the private room immediately turned toward me. Their gazes were lewd and mocking. I gritted my teeth and let out a cold laugh. "I don't need it. Keep your little surprise and enjoy it yourself. I'm leaving." "Don't go, Alessia." Louise grabbed my hand affectionately and leaned close to my ear, lowering her voice to a whisper. "You have no idea how many people want a taste of you. And you want to leave as soon as you get here?" The lecherous stares surrounding me felt as though they were stripping away my clothes, leaving me exposed with nowhere to hide. Overwhelmed by humiliation and fury, I couldn't hold back any longer. "Louise, you shameless bitch!" Her eyes instantly welled up with tears. Oliver immediately stepped in front of her protectively and glared at me. "What did Louise ever do to you that you have to insult her like that?!" Before I could explain myself, Louise spoke through her tears. "Don't be angry, Oliver. Alessia is pregnant, so I understand if she's taking her frustration out on me. I don't mind. Alessia, congratulations in advance on your wedding to Oliver." Louise picked up a glass of champagne, but Oliver immediately snatched it away. "Your body is prone to uterine coldness. You're not allowed to drink anything cold." Then he turned around and shoved the champagne glass into my hand. "First, you drove Louise overseas. Then you got her fired from her job recently. I let all of that slide. And now, she's sincerely trying to make peace with you, yet you still dare to bully her right in front of me." "Drink it, then apologize to Louise." I stared at him in disbelief. "She has a condition that means she can't drink alcohol, but somehow it's fine for me to drink when I'm pregnant?" Oliver narrowed his eyes. "You ran around everywhere when you were pregnant before, and nothing happened. So why can't you drink now? Stop being so dramatic." I had been pregnant six times, and every single time, I had continued traveling for his business, entertaining clients, and working overtime to help him. Yet in his eyes, all of that had become nothing more than my irresponsibly "running around everywhere." Suppressing the pain rising in my chest, I gritted my teeth and pushed the glass away. "She was the one who spread rumors and slandered me. Why should I be the one to apologize?"

Chapter 5

###Chapter 5 Oliver's expression turned even colder. "Be good, and things will go easier for you. Don't test my patience." "Forget it. It's all my fault. Please don't be angry with Alessia." Louise's shoulders shook as she continued to sob, her expression pitiful to the extreme. Oliver grew even angrier. He was about to say something when his phone rang at his waist. He took it out, glanced at the screen, and stepped outside to answer the call. I had just turned to leave when Louise reached out to block my way, a triumphant smile spreading across her face. "Trying to leave? Not so fast, Alessia. Guys, your treat has arrived!" she squealed. In the next instant, Oliver's group of friends closed in around me. Their shameless, predatory stares made me instinctively turn and try to flee. But a man seized my wrist in a crushing grip. It was Jericho, the very man who had first suggested that Oliver livestream me. His eyes roamed over me, practically trying to peer beneath the fabric of my clothes. "I'm so jealous of Oliver. He gets to keep a beauty like you all to himself. Why don't you spend some time entertaining a few of us tonight, Alessia?" Louise opened her phone camera and pointed it at me. "Make them happy, and I'll let you leave." I trembled uncontrollably with fear as I shouted, "Oliver is right outside! Aren't you afraid he'll see what you're doing?!" No sooner had the words left my mouth than footsteps sounded outside the door. Suddenly, Louise grabbed a wine bottle from the coffee table, smashed it, and slashed her own forearm with a shard of glass. "Ah!" She screamed and dropped the broken bottle. Blood immediately streamed down her forearm. Oliver pushed open the door and witnessed the scene. He rushed over like a madman and pulled Louise into his arms, the corners of his eyes bloodshot with fury. "Alessia, you vicious woman!" he roared. Louise collapsed against him, crying as though she had suffered some unbearable injustice. "Alessia refusing to accept my apology would have been bad enough, but why did she have to hurt me? It hurts so much, Oliver! It really hurts!" "I never touched her! She did it to herself!" I cried in my defense, but Jericho interrupted me from the side. "Alessia, you've gone too far! You even threatened to sell Louise to some old man so he could abuse her. Even if your private videos were leaked, that doesn't give you the right to take your anger out on Louise and ruin her innocence!" "Alessia!" An utterly terrifying aura radiated from Oliver as he spoke each word through clenched teeth. "So many people witnessed what happened. What do you have to say for yourself now?" I looked at him in disappointment. "You'd rather believe all these people than believe me?" His gaze turned ice-cold. He stared at me for a long moment before finally speaking. "Weren't you all saying you wanted a taste of her? Fine. Just keep it over her clothes. Don't actually do anything to her. Other than that, you can do whatever you want with her tonight." I stared at him in disbelief, my eyes wide with horror. "Oliver, don't do this to me!" I shrieked in fear. But he merely shot me a glance, then scooped Louise into his arms and walked away. Over his shoulder, Louise looked back at me with the triumphant smile of a victorious temptress. The door slammed shut with a bang, and a chorus of disgusting cheers immediately surged toward me. Jericho was the first to step forward. "Louise really is something else! She told us all we had to do tonight was play along with her little act. I didn't believe her at first, but now I see she was right." "Don't worry, Alessia. We won't interfere with your wedding tomorrow. Just think of it as helping Oliver inspect his bride before the big day." "Lay a finger on me, and I'll make sure every one of you regrets it!" I struggled violently, but they still dragged me toward the sofa. Someone... please, someone save me... The next second, the private room door burst open under a powerful kick. Through my tear-blurred vision, I saw the tall silhouette of a man standing against the light, with several bodyguards following behind him. In just a few swift moves, they had knocked all seven or eight men to the ground. Denver rushed toward me and gathered me into his arms. His thumb gently wiped away the tears of terror on my face. "Don't be afraid. You're safe now," he whispered gently. Then his voice rang through the private room, cold and merciless as death itself. "Whatever part of Alessia's body these bastards touched, cut that part off." Amid a chorus of desperate pleas for mercy, Denver took off his jacket and wrapped it around me before carrying me out. "I've seen all the negative news about you. Don't worry. I'll take care of everything." At last, the tension in my heart finally eased. I cried until I had nothing left inside me while resting in Denver's warm embrace. Then I took out my phone, opened my email, and forwarded the documents I had received earlier to Oliver. I scheduled the email to be sent at a specific time. After that, I called both the public relations team and the police. Oliver, I hope you enjoy the wedding gift I've prepared for you. ... The following morning, Oliver woke up in a hotel bed with Louise in his arms. After dressing in his groom's suit, he got into the car, thinking that once the wedding was over, he could finally settle down and live peacefully with Alessia and their child. After all, he had already taught her more than enough of a lesson. When they passed a flower shop, Oliver told the driver to stop. He personally went inside and bought 999 irises, Alessia's favorite flowers. Imagining the delighted smile on her face when she saw them, he couldn't help letting the corners of his mouth curve upward. But at the wedding venue, he waited and waited. Even after the emcee had prompted him twice, Alessia still hadn't appeared. "What tantrum is she throwing now? Does she think running away from her own wedding will make me go after her and beg her to come back?" He frowned impatiently. Just as he was about to call Alessia, Louise suddenly let out a shriek and held her phone up in front of him with trembling hands. "W-Who posted all of this online?!" Cold sweats trickled down Oliver's forehead. Just then, one of his friends came stumbling into the wedding hall, battered and bruised, his face deathly pale. "S-Something terrible has happened! Alessia was taken away by a man!"
