Synopsis
Betsy Moreno, a 36-year-old beekeeper from Michigan, discovers her husband Carl has been diluting her honey and plotting to flee with his mistress. Instead of engaging in a lengthy legal battle, she exposes his wrongdoing, leading to his downfall and allowing her to keep the farm. The scandal boosts her business, and she remains independent by rejecting MCN agencies. Betsy hires single mothers who have faced abandonment or abuse, teaching them beekeeping for financial freedom. She creates the “Single Mothers Beekeeping Training Program” to help women nationwide start their own ventures. Guided by her principle that “bees never lie,” she emphasizes honesty, sues fake honey producers, and donates compensation to a fund for single mothers. Ultimately, Betsy transforms from a betrayed wife into a resilient beekeeper, empowering many women toward dignity and independence.
