Synopsis
Doctor Arthur is framed by the dean Edward and exiled to a remote clinic, where he befriends the ambitious noble wife Vera and uses her influence to maneuver among the upper echelons of the medical group. While collecting evidence of Edward's money laundering and wrongdoing, he also traces the mystery of his late mother's origins, and unexpectedly discovers that the group president Richard is his own biological father. Advancing step by step amid the power struggles of many factions, Arthur topples his rivals and climbs to the top of power, yet sees through the coldness of power - this power struggle ultimately demands a heavy price.
